MARK E. DAY, Waterloo Commercial, Civil and Estate Litigation Lawyer
After articling with an international firm, Mark joined Duncan, Linton as an associate following his call to the bar in 2024. Mark’s legal practice focuses on commercial, civil, and estate litigation.
Raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Queen’s University in Kingston. Deciding he needed a break from academics, Mark worked in compliance with a Big Five Bank, and then as a Provincial Offences Officer enforcing public safety regulations before returning to his original plan to attend law school.
Mark joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa where he caught the mooting bug. Mark was a member of the Faculty’s 2022 team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot, with the team placing in the Top 64. Mark also won the 2023 Canadian National Negotiation Competition, moving on to secure a third-place finish for Canada at the International Negotiation Competition that summer.
In his free time Mark enjoys playing card, board, and video games with his friends, baking, and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs disappoint him (yet again).
